Adam Aldama aka Sizzle, was born and raised in Sacramento, California where he has been performing since he was a child. He has a natural talent for music, singing, and performing. Sizzle’s greatest passion in life is music.
As a young child, he loved to sing in the choir at church with his grandmother. Her encouragement sparked his interest in singing professionally.
Adam began writing his own music when he was 13 years old.
Each song is filled with catchy lyrics and smooth vocal melodies. His inspiration is from those around him.
Fans say “He’s a great performer. When he gets on stage he’s totally in his element, he knows how to schmooze the ladies and connect with the guys.”
Sizzle writes music anyone can listen to. He has some tracks for the rollers, some tracks for the clubbers and some you can even bump it with your mother.”
We caught up with Sizzle on a cruise to find out what this sizzling talent was all about:
What Musical Genre Do You Feel Best Describes Your Music And How Would You Describe Your Sound?
My music genre is Pop & R&B. My sound is very melodic and danceable.
How Did You Get Your Name? Is There A Story?
I used to hear rappers use the word “Sizzle” in their raps and I liked the way it sounded. I always deliver a “hot show” when I am on stage! I give it my all. My friends would also ask me to spit a “hot verse” so I just stuck with the name Sizzle.
What Are or Have been Your Musical Influences?
My musical influences have been other artists. Artists that teach me a lot about how to sing and compose songs are very influential to my music career. Artists such as Michael Jackson help me strive for making songs on an album that are thrilling. Every song has to be a possible radio hit! When I listen to George Michael’s music, I hear subtle sung lyrics overlaid with a catchy danceable instrumental such as his songs “Amazing” or “Hard day.” And when I need to clear my head and just hear melodies that I can identify with the most (the songs that make me feel good inside), I turn to R&B. My favorite singers that I listen to daily are Avant, Joe and R. Kelly. When I warm up for my shows, I sing songs from Avant and Joe to warm up my vocal chords. I love their melodies and how they are so soulful when they sing. I strive to be soulful when making R&B music. Listening to these artists stimulates my creativity.
What Are You Working On Now? Any Future Collaborations We Can Look Forward To?
I am always working on new music. I hear melodies throughout the day so I record the melody with no beat on my phone. As soon as I have the melody I can start production on the song. The lyrics come later. I have to get the feeling first. New music and new music videos are in the works as we speak. You can look forward to a follow up album that will be better than the debut. That’s the main goal, to make the next album hit twice as hard as the first one.
What Is Your Ultimate Goal In The Music Industry? What Is Your Plan Of Action?
My ultimate goal is to have my music enjoyed by music lovers everywhere and to perform for fans around the world. Working with my music family, Timin Music Entertainment.com, my plan of action is to perform my Love Potion album worldwide.
What Is Your Favorite Track To Perform Live?
My favorite track to perform live is “She got it”, and it’s super fun to perform.
What Has Been The Biggest Challenge In Your Career Thus far?
The biggest challenge I have had so far is finding the right people to work with in the industry. I finally found my music family in Timin Music Entertainment.
What’s Your Typical Songwriting Process?
I start with the melody, then I match the lyrics with a funky beat.
How Has Social Media Influenced Your Career As An Artist?
Social media plays a huge factor when it comes to sharing my music and letting people know when I have an upcoming show or sharing a brand new live performance or music video. Facebook, instagram, google + and all of the social websites help me stay current with people who know me or follow my music.
What Are Some Tracks and Artists Currently On Your Playlist?
When listening to music the artists that are on my playlist are Baby Bash, George Michael, Michael Jackson, South Park Mexican, Lucky Luciano, Lenny Kravitz, Joe, Avant, Jay Sean and Chamillionaire, and myself. Some of the tracks I love people to hear are my singles; She Got It, Eyes On You, Headphones & Hoodies, Natural High and Here We Go. All of my tracks are a fun ride.
What Did You Do Before You Started Making Music?
I studied and practiced Art vigorously. I have an A.A. in Art. I would draw and paint murals as well as creating comic book art. I always had a sense of enjoyment when drawing. Creating things and watching your project come to life is very rewarding. I love to draw super heroes like Venom, Wolverine, Spiderman and Batman.
Any Advice For Young People (Men or Women) That Want To Succeed In The Music World?
The only suggestion I could give another artist is be humble about what it is you do. Don’t ever over rate yourself to where you think you’re too good for something. It doesn’t matter if you have an audience of 15 or 1000, you always have to go out there and give it 110%. Don’t ever think you’re too good for something that seems like it’s not worth your time. It just takes one person to turn your career in a 360. Stay dedicated to your craft.
How Do You Feel About Originality?
Original music is one of the best ways to express yourself. It’s a way to tell someone how you feel or to just let it out. It’s like therapy.
Is There Anything Else We Should Know About You Or That You Would Like to Add?
I’m an open person when it comes to telling it how it is. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to ask. I want everyone to enjoy my music. So, sit back and enjoy the ride.
